What Bucknell Means to Him: “Bucknell has meant the world to me. The wrestling program was the first college program to reach out to me back in 2018 after Fargo Nationals and they have made me feel loved and wanted ever since. Bucknell will always be home and nothing will ever change that. Being able to wrestle and gain an education at an institution like Bucknell is a blessing that I will forever cherish.”

Why Gannon For This Next Chapter: With Gannon, I am extremely excited to finish off my career back at home where it all started and continue my success in the sport of wrestling. Four years away from home was a long time and I would feel homesick sometimes. But with this opportunity, I plan to take it all in and finish strong in the community that made me who I am today.”

Top Athletic Memories: “Some of my top moments in my athletic career spans more of the team aspect of wrestling rather than my individual accomplishments. The memories of team states when I was in high school and going to the trenches with my guys at Bucknell will always be my top memories in my athletic career. I do everything for my guys around me and my success is a testament to their support along with their dedication to our team and wrestling.”

Family Ties and Legacy in Wrestling: Crosby and his feather, Melvin, are the first father-son duo to each win a state title in wrestling from Erie, Pennsylvania. “It means a lot to both my father and I. My father introduced me to the sport of wrestling and always pushed me to do my best in every dual and tournament. My style of wrestling stems from his and I wouldn’t be as good as I am today in wrestling without his influence and coaching.”

Perspective on Being One of 14 Children: “Having a big family is great. Having a large family has shaped my life in so many different ways with just my interactions with my siblings and the outcome of my life. My view on what family means is greatly heightened because of it. It’s been a blessing to welcome the fourteenth child to the family recently. My baby sister is nine months old.”

Football Flashback: Crosby was a college football recruit and a member of two state championships during high school, but college wrestling had been on his mind for many years. “I absolutely loved playing football growing up. Football is my second love and I miss it so much. Although wrestling has always been my number one sport, football was always a good way to both give my body a little rest from wrestling and prepare me for wrestling all at the same time. I miss the camaraderie that football brought to my life and playing under the lights.”

Perspective On Balancing Married Life, Master’s Degree, and College Wrestling: “The challenge has been there for sure. From the late nights and early mornings, to not really seeing each other. Through all of it, the challenge has made both of us stronger and made us appreciate the time we have together. The challenge has prepared us for life after college and when the real journey begins. I will forever cherish the challenges that lie ahead.”
